About Me

Q. What season of life are you in right now?

Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare? Well, I’m the tortoise right now - calm, steady, balanced, and highly determined.

Q. How do you stay inspired to write and create?

TBH, the writing and creating come naturally to me. I find these to be fun, relaxing, and therapeutic and I jump at the chance to do both. When it comes to consistency with the blog, however, I’ve learned to prioritize writing about what’s happening in our real life, not just for clicks and SEO ranking.

For the relaunch, I’ve also prioritized writing shorter stories. It takes the pressure off from writing thousand-word articles and it makes launching a new post a breeze!

Q. What’s a home item you didn’t know you needed but now can’t live without?

A cordless handheld vacuum! You wouldn’t believe the amount of crumbs a little one can generate.

Q. What’s something you’re unlearning right now?

The “prove it” olympics. I feel like I’ve always tried to convince everyone, and sometimes myself of what I deserve, why I did things a certain way, and why I desire what’s next. What I’ve realized is that if you’re constantly looking for approval, or buy-in, from other voices, you’ll never be able to hear, trust, and follow your own.

There’s something powerful about following your instincts, believing in divine timing and guidance, and living your life authentically for you. It’s been really freeing!

Q. One scent that always makes you feel grounded?

Lavender! If I want to get fancy, I’ll add a bit of Vetiver.

I recently found these beautiful faux lavender florals at Hobby Lobby - I literally cannot take on another real plant, it’s too much!

But I loved them and wanted to put them outside on our patio and balcony. To borrow some of the real essence of Lavender, I made an outdoor potpourri satchel. It smells fantastic and actually helps keep the bugs away. Recipe on the way soon!
